The featured gemiusTraffic data covers the internet markets of Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Syria, Yemen, Lybia, Palestinian Autonomy. The web site features, among others, popularity ratings for:
- web browsers,
- operating systems,
- mobile devices,
- Flash Player versions,
- screen resolution,
- screen color settings,

- search engines,
- countries from which internet users visit MENA region web sites,
- regions from which internet users visit MENA region web sites,

The data published on gemiusRanking MENA is obtained through the gemiusTraffic research project conducted by Gemius SA. The gemiusTraffic study provides information on internet users' web site behaviour and the technical characteristics of their computers. The data is gathered with the use of counting scripts, which are embedded in the code of sites included in the study.
In April 2003, gemiusTraffic was awarded the Internactive Advertising Bureau Polska (IAB Polska) certificate.
Apart from MENA region, gemiusTraffic is conducted in many other Central and Eastern European countries (Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine) as well as Austria, Israel, Denmark, and Turkey.
